In preparation for The Weddening have we overlooked the one truly important thing in our lives?
What's going to happen to POS? I think all the authors will be there, so unless we have a connection to Internet in our hotel rooms we're gonna need to find a babysitter to write stuff here. I suggest giving a hobo the unique opportunity to write his or her innermost thoughts and desires on Internet.
Yea or nea?

Wow. A comment two minutes after posting. This is a new record. Will is our hobo, but he'll be at the wedding, too (unless you guys know something I don't). Posted by Alex at November 22, 2004 09:54 AM |

I think we should still write all our POS posts as normal while we're at the wedding, except we write them on bits of hotel-related paper, like cocktail napkins or stationery or pages torn from the bible (or whatever), and write the date and time of the writing at the bottom, and then scan them and post them after the wedding. Your sorrowful understanding was right, mike. He won't be able to join us in California-land. He can babysit POS for us while we're gone. Mike! You're the greatest! We just got our fun present in the mail and, guess what...we almost bought the very same thing two days ago but decided against it because we thought someone might pick that out and you did just that. Thank you thank you (and Lisa, too, who I look forward to meeting soon). Posted by Jess at November 22, 2004 02:55 PM |

Aren't you supposed to wait for the wedding to whip that shit out? Posted by Alex at November 22, 2004 03:47 PM |

Not when they're registered in several locations and the easiest way to get the items to them would be to ship it to them at their address, as opposed to shipping it to your homestead figuring a way to either pack it or pay extra to get it with you to california, and then burden them with the difficulty of finding a way to get it back to chicago along with other gifts, which will probably turn out to be shipping the items to chicago. which you could have done in the first place... just sayin'...
