We’re Event Ladies, Now! August 22, 2007
Hey people! As promised, we have some fun photos for you from the car show. Okay, maybe not that FUN, but at least you can see our cart in all its glory, alongside some really loud cars.

We had a fun junior employee join us (that’s him in the photo there) — he helped us get drinks for people while he sat on our cooler and talked to us about how annoying girls are. Except girls who work. (Like… us.) I think he was flirting, but, I’m a little out of touch with middle school courting practices.
He did, however, manage to get several 6th grade girls to come back multiple times to buy gelato, and he himself purchased 2 drinks (neither of which he finished, oddly) so, that was a plus.
That yellow car next to our cart totally scared the junk out of us when they went to leave. Revving up the engine and such.

You can see that there were a pretty good number of people milling around… down the street. But they did eventually pass by us, one way or another, and we did reasonably good business (despite some melting problems earlier in the day).
The Vitamin Water sold like crazy. It was super hot, so even at $2.25 a pop, people were willing to shell it out for some vitamin-ish hydration. Also, people liked that we gave out free samples. I’d go so far to say that at least half of our gelato sales were prompted by my soliciting people to come taste our free samples.
Then they were hooked.
Anyway, it was a pretty day, and we’ll probably be out there a bunch more. Alex and Carolann, and Larissa and 3 of her friends came out to see us last Saturday. We love seeing our “regulars” out and about in the community.
Coming soon: a complete listing of all of our “away” dates — we’ll be taking the cart out to lots of public events in the coming months, so stay tuned, and come out and see us! (Or, click on the Subscribe to our calendar link anytime — it’ll give you access to our google calendar, so you can keep an eye on where we’ll be all the time; we realize we’re opening ourselves up to stalkers, but, we’re okay with that.)
