Hours September 20, 2007
Hear ye, hear ye! We have a new plan for our retail business! We found ourselves stretched to the limit some weeks with absolutely no extra help, barely eating meals or seeing our house and other weeks sitting in the shop twiddling our thumbs waiting for someone to walk in the door. Therefore, we have decided to focus our attention completely on our wholesale business and catering events with cups and our cart. We are going to try a “by appointment only” approach so, yes, you can still come pick up pints and cups, just call ahead first or order it over email and we will make sure we’re there for you to pick up. It was difficult to come to terms with the fact that we aren’t gelato retailers so much as gelato manufacturers.
However, we can’t let go completely SO we are going to start having monthly parties in our shop and you will be invited to come stock up on your gelato and have fun with the Trio. That will allow us to have our best, freshest, most beautiful gelato on hand in our lovely new display case/cart when you walk in the doors. It will be a monthly blow out open house at Trio. Stay tuned. We’re still trying to pick a day in October for our first event (October is going to be SOOO busy for us ge-ladies!) I am super excited about these monthly events. We can have contests, art showings, music, flavor of the month unveilings…all sorts of fun stuff!
This plan isn’t set in stone, so please let us know how you feel about this. We’re going to be in the shop a lot making a lot of gelato, so don’t hesitate to call and see if we’re in! We’ll have call forwarding on in the shop, too, so you’ll always be able to reach someone even if we are closed.
Outside of the shop you will find us this Sunday at the Lake Eola Farmer’s Market and next Friday at Uptown Altamonte for Friday Night Jams.
p.s. We have been making some fun flavors lately including peanut butter and jelly, Guinness, avocado lime, and pomegranate merlot. Get your office together today to order some and we’ll deliver it to you!
