Our Retailers February 8, 2008
Chocolate Connoisseurs/Gourmet Temptations, Winter Park
Finally! A great little chocolate shop with a huge gelato case! They’re currently phasing out their old supplier of gelato, and their customers are falling in love with ours! They have, without a doubt, the most amazing truffles we’ve ever tasted — and they work a lot like we do! Everything is made by hand in house. Their shop is on the far South end of Park Avenue in Winter Park (down by Rollins). Look for the black awning that says “gelato”!
Nonna Trattoria (formerly Babbo), College Park
Our first restaurant! This place is phenomenal. Definitely a notch above your average Italian restaurant. A perfect date spot, big birthday dinner, or business lunch. The restaurant is located inside an adorable little bungalow that’s been converted to a restaurant. It really feels like you’re eating in someone’s home. They have a beautiful bar, an extensive wine selection, and Greg, the chef, is always coming up with fantastic new dishes to suit the season. We love them over there — their servers have fallen in love with our Peanut Butter & Jelly gelato. And we can’t blame ‘em!
The Enzian Theater, Maitland
The Enzian holds a special place in Trio’s collective heart, as it were. Going to school at Stetson and loving independent movies, Jess & Mel made several ventures out to this remarkable movie house in their college days, and are thrilled to work with their brilliant and creative chef, Josh, to provide Orlando with some of the most unique desserts you’ll find: ‘black and tans’ in half-pint glasses (yes, it’s really made with Guinness and Harp gelatos!), Coffee gelato made with Austin Coffee’s special Enzian Blend coffee and chopped chocolate-covered espresso beans (3 orlando companies coming together in one deliciously invigorating dessert!), dark chocolate sorbetto (vegan, dark, and addictive), and more!
The Virgin Olive Market, Winter Park
This place is so adorable! It’s a fancy gourmet market/convenience store/earthy, crunchy sandwich shop. They sell incredible handmade dried pastas and frozen stuffed pastas, unusually good soups and dips, and more! They’re one of the few places you can buy individual servings of our gelato.
Dandelion Communitea Cafe, Orlando
Trio’s official home for organic, agave-sweetened, vegan gelato! If you haven’t been to Dandelion, you should definitely check it out! They’re really dedicated to vegetarian, organically-produced, responsibly manufactured goods and foods. And you can really taste the difference in everything they do. Fantastic loose teas and great sandwiches.
Harmoni Market, College Park
A gourmet market and restaurant, Harmoni Market carries pints of six of our most popular flavors including one rotating seasonal Trio favorite. Harmoni is also the only place to get our beautiful handmade gelato popsicles. Stop by their freezer section and pick up a pint today!
Country Club of Orlando, Orlando
They order our gelato for events by request only, so if you’re having an event there, make sure you ask for our gelato! With 2 days notice, we can deliver any flavor you want! I highly recommend this place, by the way, for any nice event: The grounds are filled with beautiful oak trees and ponds, their facilities are beautiful, and less stuffy than you’d expect with the title “country club”. Everyone’s super friendly.
Cavallari Gourmet Market, Oviedo
This amazing little market carries both individual servings and pints of our gelato. Their customer service is unparalleled, and, if you’re a meat-lover, they have an incredible selection of fancy meats. The whole place smells of their bins of incredible olives, and you feel like you’ve been transported to an Italian village market.
Bumbino’s Italian Ristorante, Orange City
Grand Opening April 1, 2008! Help support this fantastic new Italian restaurant in the Orange City Town Center (On Town Center Drive, off of Enterprise just south of Saxon) and don’t forget to order gelato!
Taste Restaurant, College Park
Awesome modern tapas-type restaurant. Cozy and romantic, every dish is made for sharing… A little bite of this, a small helping of that. Spanish-inspired, but there’s something for everyone. And now they have gelato and sorbetto to offer their guests after enjoying a leisurely meal. It’s a great night out.
Brick and Fire, Downtown Orlando
You know that really cool-looking building on Church Street near the train tracks? Brick and Fire is tucked in the back of that gorgeous old-fashioned train station building, and they make incredible gourmet pizzas. Best part? They deliver all over Downtown, and now they offer pints of Trio’s gelato on their delivery menu, including a really fancy tiramisu (lined with Bailey’s-soaked lady fingers), our world-famous peanut butter, and a very-vanilla bean that is new for us (but gramma’s new favorite)! Get your office to order better-than-usual pizza for lunch, and don’t forget to order dessert to share!
